Why this blog?

In the fall of 2014, and I plunked myself down in the Lake Chapala region of Mexico for for a 6 month test drive. It’s been 16 months and counting.

I hope you’ll enjoy reading about my adventures. I’ve learned a lot by reading the blogs of others who’ve lived abroad and shared their experiences. I, too, want to share, with family and others planning their retirements, what I learn about and experience living in Mexico and wherever my quest may take me.

This blog chronicles my adventures living abroad. I like to to find humor in the everyday situations we find ourselves. You’ll find that some of my posts are tongue-in-cheek, irreverent, or just plain silly. Others are serious or hopefully helpful to those considering the Lake Chapala area for retirement
